206 Innovative Stroke and Neurological Rehab Treatment Approaches (7 hours)

Have you run out of great ideas on how to treat your neuro patients?
This course will focus on providing therapists with various treatment ideas to improve function for patients with CVA, TBI, and other neurological deficits. The latest research and evidence will be highlighted emphasizing the importance of neuroplasticity and motor learning, including the specifics of how to integrate the research into the realities of practice.
Using attendees’ case examples, common impairments causing functional limitations will be identified and various treatment options will be discussed considering the level of the patient and clinic setting including options for improving the function of patients with Pusher Syndrome will be reviewed.
The presentation includes the use of updated digital video to practice movement analysis and demonstrate the impact of different interventions.
