My name is Tim Reidman and I represent Maine in the AOTA Representative Assembly.
The American Occupational Therapy Association's Representative Assembly (RA) is responsible for the development and approval of professional policies and standards. Over the past year, we have had discussions to further evaluate (or not) constituents proposals: OT's role in climate change (sustainability), critical care, entry level competencies, pelvic floor and reproductive health, school-based practice policy guidance and the occupational impact of being BIPOC. Once voted on by the RA, the proposal is either sent to AOTA to be further explored or it is shelved. I am always available by email if you have any questions. Thanks, Tim Reidman OTD, OTR/L |
