Background information for the MeOTA Reading and Reflection circle:
☐ This circle is a collaboration between MeOTA’s Leadership, MeOTA members and Diane Sauter-Davis (as host).
☐ Any MeOTA member can belong at no cost but you must first sign in with your Special Interest Section Representative. Non MeOTA members may join for a fee.
☐ We will focus on books that complement our work as OT practitioners to promote self- care, lateral thinking, creativity, and networking opportunities.
☐ The circle will meet virtually 3 times per year-late January, early June and early October (exact dates TBD).
☐ We meet for 1.5 hours from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The date we chose as an initial group was Wednesday.
☐ Thanks for your commitment to reading, reflecting and participating. This makes the circle, and each of us better thinkers with a broader perspective.
☐ The first read was chosen by your host for ease of getting started; subsequent reads are determined by circle member suggestion.
☐ Your SIS Representatives will send a reminder of the circle meeting 2 weeks prior to the circle.
☐ Reads will have wide appeal and should be able to be found in local libraries, book stores and virtual options (Audible, Google,).
☐ Reads can be of any genre however, the focus is on our personal development and professional growth.
☐ Reads will inspire reflection, positive habit of mind, horizontal thinking and promote creativity and innovation☐ Reads will support your role as an Occupational Therapy practitioner and beyond!
☐ All participants are encouraged to share their “take-aways” and perspectives from every reading for discussion.
☐ This is a stress free, no judgement zone.
Our goal is to support you, your health & wellness and the good work you do each day
